How do I remove paint splatters on my truck?

Asked by Cardinal (2931points) February 8th, 2008

Recently purchased a used truck. There are small paint splatters on (dang near everything) mainly the leatherette seats and dash and sterring wheel. Anyone have any ideas as how to remove them w/o dissolving the material? If it maters the interior is a medium to dark gray and most of the paint is white or blue. Thanks in advance.

Try picking them off with your fingernails first. If the paint is water-based, e.g. latex,
they might pop off. There is nothing that will remove solvent-based paint that will not
also damage the plastics in your dash, etc.
