How do I add a website link to fluther discussions?

Asked by ItalianPrincess1217 (11979points) November 3rd, 2009 from iPhone

I’ve done it before and I’m having a massive brainfart. Please explain how to add a link to my discussion :( I’m so frustrated with it!

Look at the tiny words below the answer box “link”: will get you what you want.

@jeffgoldblumsprivatefacilities even though I had to edit it – does that ‘earn’ a “first answer” award?

Just put in the link. If you want a few words to display the link see this. The first example is what you want.

look at the fine tiny print just below the bottom edge of the answer box. It gives you a generic example. Place the descriptive text in ”“followed immediately by a colon: (no spaces) then http://www.fluther.com, e.g..

Nothing like a bit of speedy overlap redundancy! <g>

I don’t have those tiny words you’re describing. For some reason they don’t appear when I’m on my iPhone. Only on a normal computer. That’s why I’m asking.

@jeffgoldblumsprivatefacilities That is always appreciated, I like to add the “awards” to my profile, it’s kind of fun to watch them add up

Ok I figured it out. I tried it in a different thread and it worked! Thanks @virtualist!

@ItalianPrincess1217 I didn’t know they don’t appear on the iphone. That makes it difficult.
