What are a really good set of cheap bass headphones?

Asked by iRemy_y (550points) November 11th, 2009

I had amazing headphones, which didn’t cost me more then $15, that were “bass amplifying”. They had amazing sound and bass, but sadly they fell out of my backpack and the rain destroyed them. They still work but the bass doesn’t preform half as well as it used to. I’ve looked for them everywhere but can’t seem to find them anymore. Does anyone know another set of cheap, bass amplifying headphones which i can use to listen to music form time to time?

Apparently, the Sony XB series was designed for this purpose alone. Cheap? Hmmm. Looks like you can get a pair for $32 at J&R.

You might also consider the Radius Atomic ear buds . CNET users give them B+ rating and great bass reponse is part of that. They go for ~ $37, tho’.

There are a couple that are 4 star rated at the under $30 price range.
