How can I use posterous with twitter?

Asked by rguest (201points) November 16th, 2009

I have hear alot about posterous replacing twitpic as a twitter photo client. Also that is can become sort of a stored blog of your twitter posts. I’ve also seen some people using both tumblr and posterous. I am a tumblr user and am trying to figure out if there is any point in using posterous as well. You can post to twitter from tumblr as well..or am I missing something that differentiates tumblr and posterous? can someone help me? Thanks!

both require little work (blog set-up wise) but posterous is less micro-bloggy than tumblr. it all depends on what you want to post.

Yes you can send your blog posts from Tumblr to Posterous too. You can pretty much do everything you can do with Posterous. It’s just not as simple.

What you need to do is click on “Customise” while logged in to Tumblr. Then click on “Services” and enter you Twitter information and check “Send my Tumblr posts to Twitter” and your done!

basically posterous can ben you all-starting point.

You just email whatever you have to share. Text, photo, video, audio etc.
and you can setup posterous to post to, twitter, facebook, flickr, tumbler, vimeo, youtbue, wordpress, blogger, picasa.

You have to make sure that post from twitter are not automatically sent to facebook for example, to avoid double posts.
If it’s for posting photos to twitter i’d reccomend it strongly over yfrog or anything. because posterous is a clear all-media-consuming blog which you can customize.
