What do you think of the new larger Avatar in the profile page?
mine doesn’t look good(part of it is missing) but the others I’ve seen look great, what do you think of it?

When I first saw it I was like ”Woah! What happened??! What did I do?!?” I think they are a little too large.
they are a little too large. i like keeping my face nice and small :(

I lurve it! I think they are just the right size. Big enough to see detail without making our profiles look strange. (Also, @tyrantxseries, I think bits of yours may be missing whether it’s big or small – they have to be squares, so it may have gotten cropped.)
I think I need a new avatar!
Jeff Goldblum looks really creepy when he’s that big.

I like the idea, but mine is part of a bigger picture. It makes more sense when you see the entire thing. Even though the part it cropped to is cool.
I’ll have to change it now.
Well, it’s okay, but my picture was small to begin with, so now it’s all fuzzy. I’m going to have to change it to a bigger one.
I wish it was just a TAD smaller. I can’t use my favorite picture, it gets all fuzzy. :(

It was rather like stepping into the shower expecting the water to be warm, but, unbeknownst to you, the water heater broke so you get a slap in the face with ice cold spray.
It isn’t bad at all, but it was a shock.
Unfortunately, my avatar is all fuzzy now. OTOH, it could be that it is covered with fur.
Finally I can use this camping picture. All its value was lost when no one could see the big version..
I just think that people will be posting slightly bigger pictures now.

It’s okay. I, too, thought it was something wrong with my computer at first.
Until I can find one that looks good both big and small, I’ll stick with one that looks super cute big.
One good thing about it is that, as I’m clicking on people to get a better look at their avatars, I’m noticing some who aren’t in my Fluther, but should be, and adding them as I go! And also becoming too sleepy to construct coherent sentences.
does it support animated avitar like my hitler rock head?
I wish this feature could be adapted to body parts. ;-) So small, suddenly, so BIG…
I still think the avatars in the comments should be a little bigger. Not much bigger, but just a tad bit bigger. 40×40 is not much.

I rather like it. Doesn’t change my picture all that much, but I think it’s a good size.
I think they are kind of obnoxiously big now. Half the size would be plenty.

Is there a limit on how many times you can attempt to change your picture? I know you can only have 4 saved, but it’s not letting me change it anymore.
I think it’s cute. I opened the window and a big yellow kitty was staring at me. :P (ie: my avatar)
After the initial “Whoa Nellie!” moment, I like it. Mine is all fuzzy though. Quick, someone make me a new one! Since I am clueless as to how to do that. :(

@rangerr other than the color, you wouldn’t want them, I am extremely near sighted. I took my glasses off to get this picture.
Town Dog looks gorgeous at any size! And now you can see the bows in her ears and her bow tie as well.
I had to change my 40×40, but this one looks a lot better.and just to irritate gailcalled, awesome.

The first profile I saw after this was implamented was uberbatman’s, which looks completely awesome.
I like that they’re bigger, but in some instances they seem too big. Like @J0E said, half the size would have been just perfect.
Maybe people will be more creative now thatthe avatars are clearer. Mine is much cuter, daloon-yikes!
Did they intentionally set out to have them bigger than all sites including facebook? I wish they were a little smaller. I think they’d still be big and effective, but that people could use their old avatars when its not a possibility with them this big.
I likes them all BIG cuz I had to keep doing the “View Image”, erase _thumb, hit enter thang to see every ones pritty faces, and now I can actually view the atlas when needed ;P

I always thought @galileogirl‘s avatar was of a dirty little girl with her finger in her nose…LIKEY the new avatars, again ;P
@avvooooooo Same size as facebook. Smaller, actually, since they’re square.
