Hey everyone!

I’m trying to make an introduction video for my church in the the same style as this video (words pop up as person says them – single shot kind of effect). I started it in flash..and its the first thing i’ve ever done in flash, but i feel like im taking the long way to get the project done. Im not familiar with much software but im taking a intro course to after after effects and im also learning flash. But id like to know in advanced what the best way to do it is. Got any tips, suggestions, ideas? thanks!

Welcome to Fluther!

Record the audio first, then lay down the text ontop of that. Don’t try to get the audio to match an existing text.

Ballpark, budget to spend about 5–10 minutes per second of audio. That means, if you have a 30 second audio clip, it’s probably going to take you 2–½ to 5 hours to make it happen.

awesome. yea im planning on recording the audio first. but see the thing is ive done about 4 seconds of the animation already and its taken me like 8 hours haha. ithink thats because im sort of teaching myself flash while im doing it. So im learning as i work. Hopefully ill speed up as i go. thanks for the tips!
