Besides putting live bait on a fish hook that’s the 2nd thing that is difficult about fishing,
watching them struggle for life. Sometimes it’s more than I can bare.

I’ve had perch live for over five hours. I brought some home, put them in the sink to wash and they started swimming around. Freaked my freak.

@ JessicaisinLove – I whack them on the head as soon as I catch them. But if the truth be known, I usually turn them loose and buy fish to eat. I love to fish but I hate murdering them so I would buy ones that are already murdered!

I know, I know, I am a chicken hypocrite!

I had smacked mine also. Still survived somehow. I usually let them all go, also. That was the last time I kept one.

Good for you stevenb, we can all be chickens together!
