Role of women in buddhism/hinduism

Asked by caly420 (546points) February 24th, 2008

i am working on an essay for my religion class and we are supposed to write on the perception, role, and treatment of women in the Hindu text Law of Manu and the Buddhist text of the Dhammapada (Prajnaparamita Sutra)

I understand thier place in the Law of Manu, but cant find anything on them in the Dhammapada. Does anyone know this?

I can’t help you but I feel your pain. I am also writting a paper for my religion class on the roles of women in Hinduism and can’t find not a single website to give me good information. I have to have three sources and no time to get a book and read on it. Best of luck to you.
