After his appearance on the Iraq Inquiry, has Tony Blair proved himself to be the spineless poodle that George Michael made him out to be?

Asked by TheJoker (2795points) December 14th, 2009

Mr Blair told the BBC at the weekend that it would have been right to invade even if it had not been thought Saddam had weapons of mass destruction. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/8411326.stm?

No, he is very competent. But he is not very liked. The very reason he didn’t become the President of the European Council. He doesn’t have that much support in Europe. There isn’t much they can do to him though.

You should put your links in the box. Like this. ”“LINK””:some URL

@Jacket, well, if we can prove he lied, which he now seems to have admitted, technically we could try him for treason & hang him….. althought thats rather unlikely to happen, not really the British way, we’d much rather give him a firm telling off!

@TheJoker Lol, yes. But to be fair, Bush would never be indicted and told to shove it. Too bad really. Blair has charisma. He would have made a good president.

Does that mean he could be tried for Perjury or something along those lines?

@Mat74UK, potentially…. although I’m not sure if he said quite enough to get into trouble….. yet!
