Do you look at how many responses there are to a question before answering it?

Before I go about answering a question i look at the amount of responses it has generally if it has over 10 I decide against it, maybe because I think my answer would lost in the crowd or maybe because I don’t want to be bothered with the ‘activity’. Does anyone else check that before answering? Does it deter you or entice you to answer the question or does it have no bearing at all?
