Quick $10 gift idea?

Asked by LocoLuke (1126points) December 14th, 2009

My friends are holding a party on Friday, and one of the requirements for attending is to bring a gift worth $10 or more. The gift isn’t for any particular person, and will most likely be something along the lines of a secret santa. What kind of stuff would you bring to an event like this?

A pound of good coffee. I would suggest Ethiopian Harrar (my current favorite).

Chia Pet
Metal water bottle
Movie snacks for home movie night—popcorn, Junior Mints, Rasinettes, etc.
Moleskine notebook
Sea Monkeys
Burn a CD of unusual renditions of holiday music
Go to a thrift store and buy a Christmas sweater

G’day Locoluke,

Thank you for your question.

It depends on the groups concerned. As it is for high school students, an iTunes voucher or movie pass might be ideal.

I don’t know IF ALL the K-marts have the same ads or not . This was in Central Florida…

$10… hmmm now-a-days that can buy a pack of gum. I would suggest maybe a decent looking wall clock or a book safe (looks like a dictionary) both at Wal-Mart, both are 20 bucks tho.

A loaf of Stollen! I got a small one today for a gift exchange for $12.50. But I’m tempted to eat it before then…
