How do I make an excel sheet print horizontally instead of vertically?

Asked by FrankHebusSmith (4319points) December 15th, 2009

I’m making an Excel worksheet for work and I need it to print out length wise rather than heigth wise. In other words if i take the paper, and put it on one of it’s longsides, I want to be reading it from top to bottom. Whereas if I put it how it’s printing now, with one of the short sides down, that is reading it top to bottom.

How do I set it up to be horizontal rather than vertical? Thanks!

Go into the print dialog. Select the Properties button. Then select Landscape under Orientation.

File, Page Set-up, Lanscape.

Changing the orientation will take care of this, but if the larger problem is fitting the spreadsheet onto a single page, then scaling and print area might also help. You might want to try the other tips on this link for Excel Printing.
