Back! The future creeps me out. But I definitely wouldn’t want to make anything change the present, like the Chaos Effect. The kind of time travel that happens on Lost.

Kelly_Obrien's avatar

Definitely forwards. I already know what happened. I want to go where it has not yet happened…or maybe it has.

Back in time. There are a few people who I’d love to be able to spend more time with.

Definitely back. I am much more interested in what things were really like in the past, in terms of experiencing them. But the only reason I might want to live forever is to see the future, to see what we will learn about how the universe works. I just don’t want to see it coming.

Forward. Don’t have to be as careful and plus it is only a possible future.

charliecompany34's avatar

backward. i’d say something like, “nah, i better not, i mean this could turn out all the wrong way way and people would be hurt in the future.”

nikipedia's avatar

Forward!!!! I want to know what happens!

Although difficult events in my past have brought me wonderful things in the end (experience, knowledge, courage), I would like to go back and change one thing if I could still have my daughter – I would have gone to college either directly out of high school or after the ex and I split. I am still unemployed due to lay-offs and lack of formal education/enough direct experience in the field. Going to college now is much more difficult/stressfull/and somewhat selfish with a family. Neither my child nor my boyfriend truly understand or appreciate my efforts to improve myself and earning power which will ultimately benefit the family.

i mean if i could go back to THAT day and THAT time (and it is in my head right now clear as day), i would have played it out differently based on my life today.

Neither. I like it right where I am. The past was often a struggle, and I like living with the illusion that the future is malleable. : )

Forward—no doubt. All of the past is written in history books. The future brings an astronomical amount of possibilities. I would travel to the future when we have colonized other planets, been to other stars, traveled to distant galaxies, etc. And most important of all, the discovery of intelligent life in the universe will be the most significant discovery mankind ever makes, and if it happens, I would love to be there to see it happen.

SABOTEUR's avatar

Backward.

I would re-experience the most extraordinary day of my life.

Dr_Dredd's avatar

I would go forward. I want to see what kind of technology they have in the future, particularly in the areas of medicine and space travel.

Ghost_in_the_system's avatar

I would sate my curiousity about different points in history. I think knowing the future would only cause heartache. If you told anyone what you learned, they would think you lost it.

I want to see the future! There are so many possibiities and I am so curious about which paths we will follow. I want to see what new discoveries are made, what long held beliefs are changed, or forgotten. I have seen the past. I am seeing th present and I very much want to see the future.

HighShaman's avatar

I would like to go back to the Old West… I think I’d do pretty well back in those days .

So many convienences I could not do without in the past.
(you mean I need to actually shuffle cards to play solitare?)

NUNYA's avatar

I wanna go back…......hind sights 20/20 and OH BOY I’d love to fix the wrongs/bad choices I’ve done in my life! To go back to a specific date…...................Makes ya wonder if it would turn out better or worse then it is now. Taking a chance going back and taking a different path. Hmmmmmmmmmmm Now I’m not sure. Tough but Great Question!!!!

NUNYA's avatar

@WaitForMe Really? Sounds like a good plan. But I’d be only 1 yr old. I thought it was “The Summer of ‘69”. Same thing? or not?

Pretty_Lilly's avatar

I would want to be sent just one week in the past !!
arriving 20 minutes before the Mega Millions & Power Ball Drawings

Ghost_in_the_system's avatar

@NUNYA I wouldn’t change even the worst events, because with my luck, It would have been the better outcome.lol.

Blondesjon's avatar
