I live about 25–30 minutes from downtown Denver, Invesco Field (the Broncos), Coors Field and all the other sports stadiums. I also live a half hour from the place they shot Real World: Denver.

About 8 miles from the Wallace Monument in Stirling, Dedicated to William Wallace, and maybe 7 miles from Stirling Castle, they are about the most famous tourist attractions around here, mind you, I’m also only 3 miles from Bannockburn and 12 miles to The FAlkirk Wheel. Lots to do round here!

I live in a medium sized Midwestern town that really isn’t big on tourism. So you would have to drive to the nearest large city to find any real tourist attractions. That’s about 20 miles.

chelseababyy's avatar

@TominLasVegas I wish. I have to work Today-Tues. I’ll be watching it though!

If I could, I’d take @jonsblond with me!

I live in a small town of 3000. Our biggest attraction is Spook Hollow. It’s a half mile from my house to the woods.

I grew up in Vegas. A mile from the strip and right next to the airport. My friends and I would hang out at the airport when we were bored and make fun of the tourists. :P

I live in a large city but it’s certainly not a touristy place. It’s 15 minutes to the zoo and 20 minutes to the cultural part of downtown.

Facade's avatar

About ten minutes. For some reason, people like coming to our beach in the summer.

chyna's avatar

@jonsblond The spook hollow sounds fun. I bet the kids love it.

dpworkin's avatar

@galileogirl Oh, I miss The City. I used to live on the corner of Filmore and O’Farrell in 1968. It’s all been urban renewed now.

TominLasVegas's avatar

@galileogirl

1–2 miles. It’s called Arbor Lodge—look it up!

DominicX's avatar

I’m not sure how many miles everything is from everything, but I’m not that close to any of the major attractions. I’m in a quiet part of the city. It’s nice. :)

(The city in question is the same one @galileogirl mentioned).

What’s L.A.‘s most popular tourist attraction? If it’s Hollywood, well, I live in North Hollywood, so it’s about 10–15 miles away.

dpworkin's avatar

Griffith Park Observatory! LAMOCA! Museum of Natural History! (Actually, everything in Centennial Park – the rose garden, the art museum, the science museum…)

tinyfaery's avatar

Okay, then I’m about the same distance away from Griffith.
35 or so miles from Miracle Mile.
Way too far from Disneyland.

stemnyjones's avatar

I don’t even know what my city’s biggest tourist attraction is… my city is pretty small. But I’m about 2 hours away from New Orleans.

hearkat's avatar

I’m ~10 miles from a major amusement park.

flameboi's avatar

old town Quito is the biggest attraction here, maybe a 20 min drive, it depends on the traffic, or a 2 hour flight to the Galapagos islands, which is our biggest attraction ever
