What is the best book by Colin Thubron?

I am looking into reading Colin Thubron’s books, especially travel books. It is said that he is one of the last English gentleman traveler. I would appreciate any recommendation of the ‘best’ book written by him as an introduction to his works.

I haven’t read his work, but I have picked up Shadow of the Silk Road a few times, and it seems to have won a lot of critical acclaim. I enjoyed Travels with a Tangerine by Tim MacIntosh-Smith.
