One. I got oneLOL!! Ha Ha Ha!
Also, I got a sports record book – Great! ... and socks, chips, towels, washers, shavers, etc.

scotsbloke's avatar

I got a Sony Ebook Reader – nifty wee gadget as I read a lot, some Star Trek socks and my daughter thought it would be funny to buy me a toy tricorder, (We’d gone to see the new Star Trek movie a wee while back and loved it!) I also got a lovely canvas picture of my Dad – best pressie ever! and a funny Tee shirt.
More than I expected to get to be honest and my pic of my Dad was an absolute bonus!! (My dad passed away in 1991 and I miss him like hell every day)
Hope everyone is having fun with thier toys and stuff.

Xbox360 Elite, money money money, and a girl to love.

gemiwing's avatar

A wonderful quiet morning watching hymns on television, a warm fireplace, laughter with my husband. Thank you Santa, you’re the best.

avvooooooo's avatar

Methinks someone should be glad with this economy that they scored a phone and not complain about it or what they didn’t get.

CMaz's avatar

Full. :-)

And, I woke up full.

delta214's avatar

@Haroot pretty awesome presents.

Ansible1's avatar

I got Dvd’s and gift certificates and I got to see my parents completely shocked to find a new flat screen tv in their family room =)

Polly_Math's avatar

I won’t know until I talk to Santa tonight.

jbfletcherfan's avatar

Nothing so far. We’ve had to postpone our Christmas on account of the storm that’s ravaging the midwest right now. We had no power for 8 hours last night. Now our furnace is out & we have no heat. ‘stuff’ isn’t high on my priority list right now. Keeping warm is.

jeffgoldblumsprivatefacilities's avatar

I got a French Press (I’m enjoying the coffee right now), several good books, and LOST season 5 dvd. A great Christmas!

scotsbloke's avatar

@jbfletcherfan – Some warm hugs from Scotland on the way to you!!

jbfletcherfan's avatar

@scotsbloke Awww…thanks, honey. I’ll take them.

Cotton101's avatar

@avvooooooo ditto! Well said….

jrpowell's avatar

I got 400 pairs of socks (not joking) and a smoker so I can make my own jerky.

delta214's avatar

@johnpowell i wish i had 400 pairs : /

jrpowell's avatar

I never wear the same pair twice. But we do donate them to charities after they are washed.

sndfreQ's avatar

I got my wish: seeing my family who traveled cross country to be with us for Christmas eve dinner, and to enjoy an evening of food, laughter, and watching the looks on our kids’ faces as they opened presents.

Kelly_Obrien's avatar

Was it Christmas already?

fireinthepriory's avatar

I got rainbow gloves, a rainbow belt, gray socks, a rainbow messenger bag, a pageboy hat, and rainbow mittens. Gonna take this to mean my mom’s down with the whole gay thing… :D

My favorite part is really giving other people things. The best gifts that I gave this year were a GPS to my perpetually lost mother (she shrieked, it was amazing) and two hairless rats to my little sister who really wanted them. She’s named them Manwella and Frida. Pretty spectacular.

dogkittycat's avatar

I recieved some bath&body works items, some clothes, an electronic translator, a huge suit case to use when I go to Germany in the spring, some make up and a necklace from my brother.

cookieman's avatar

I got my yearly essentials: underwear, t-shirts and socks. These are always welcome.

I got some clothes (jammies and a sweater), an apple gift card and some cash.

I pretty much get the same stuff every year, but I love it.

SamIAm's avatar

nothing to open today :( but daddy sent me a box of ohama steaks for christmas!!!! and i am so grateful to have a friend in my new city who is willing to spend the day with me, so i’m not alone (since i’m 3,000 miles away from everything i know!)

Ame_Evil's avatar

mm serious note on what I got this year: a bread maker, an electric knife, a mini food processor, chocolates/sweets, an xbox game I wanted, etnies shoes, some tops, and some books.

oh and my friend got me a “grow your own chilli plants set” that I hope works :p.

ubersiren's avatar

The very first thing I opened this morning was a Fluther t-shirt! I am very happy. I also got some Wii games, candy, an mp3 player, maternity pants, money, and earrings. What a great day it has been for my materialistic streak!

Darwin's avatar

Home-made from scratch sweetrolls, and $300. Works for me!

In a way I also got a new car in that my parents are moving near me and they can’t climb in and out of my ¾ ton truck, so they asked me to buy a minivan and they will reimburse me next year. So now I have both “Grampa’s car” and the truck to drive (the dogs love the truck, and it is great to use for going to the dump, helping folks move, and hauling free mulch).

However, I didn’t get away scot-free. I had to buy my daughter a car because she made her first roadtrip this Christmas and I wasn’t going to be able to sleep the whole time she was gone if she was going to be driving her VW New Beetle (five starters in 18 minths!).

Val123's avatar

Dunno yet! I got one thing, but I don’t know what it is.

tinyfaery's avatar

I got Chanel Chance, which is my fave present. I also got some media and games.

The wife and I skimped this year so we can buy ourselves a couch. We start looking tomorrow. Whoopee!

jonsblond's avatar

Nothing.

I did get a white Christmas though. That makes up for nothing.

@jbfletcherfan Sending warm thoughts your way!

tinyfaery's avatar

Nothing? That’s bull. Give me your address; I’ll send you something.

Darwin's avatar

Ah, @jonsblond, that’s too bad. At least you could go buy yourself a Snuggie so you can Fluther while warm. And I did give you some lurve for Christmas.

@HighShaman – I, too, am one of those strange people that love fruitcake. I wish someone had given me one. I did give my brother a fruitcake that I found at Half Price Books. It is a “Family Heritage” model, designed to be passed on forever or thrown inside the house. It’s a “Nerf” fruitcake, you see.

Val123's avatar

A very nice, sleeveless black vest made of some nice, heavy warm material. It’s in VERY good taste!

Seek's avatar

I got to watch my wonderful son enjoy his new toy drum kit. He’s still playing it. ^_^

Also, I got a nice warm, snuggly bathrobe, and a fondue pot, and an Edgar Allan Poe book (very thoughtful, even though I already have a copy of the same book… XD)

I gave my six-year-old granddaughter a “snow globe.” It has a fairy-lookin’ angel in it and the snow is glitter. I had it nestled inside of a soft, padded, cool looking jewelry-type box I picked up at Goodwill. (Yes, I found some of my presents at Goodwill! Not the snow globe, though) She opened that box and awe went over her face! She reached for it, pulled back like, “Oh my goodness! What wonder!” then reverently lifted it out. It was priceless. My four-year-old grandson got the DVD “Polar Express….” he totally yelled in delight because he’s seen it before and he LOVED it! I’m happy with my choices for the kids. :)

missyb's avatar

A waffle iron and a thoughtful gift basket my niece put together for me (We got each other in the secret santa) but my absolute FAVORITE thing about today was how much my daughter enjoyed her kitchen playset. Even now she is trying to recruit her sister to play “restaurant.”

Val123's avatar

@missyb It’s the kid’s reaction to their gifts that really make the day, isn’t it! (I have a GREAT waffle recipe!)

missyb's avatar

@Val123 I just use bisquick, anything more complicated it just too ambitious for me to take on first thing in the morning! :-)

Val123's avatar

@missyb NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My recipe is only for lazy Saturday or Sunday mornings! And it’s not all THAT time consuming (I hate to cook, BTW, but these are worth it!) PLUS you can make extra, freeze them, them pop them in the toaster for a quick breakfast on other days.

My best thing was tickets for Phantom of the Opera when it comes to Atlanta. Other than that, I knew what I was getting and bought several things myself and had other people pay me back for them. :) I did get a replacement DVD player because mine died.

mrentropy's avatar

I didn’t get anything.

Val123's avatar

@mrentropy Ah! I’m sorry man. Merry Christmas. Here are hugs (((( )))) and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ AND
Here is your Christmas present Are you ready?

LTaylor's avatar

I got the new Casting Crowns CD. Awesome Band! Now I have all their studio CD’s

DominicX's avatar

Well, I made a pledge not to come on here during the 24th or the 25th and I didn’t. :) But I’ll tell you what I received for Christmas, anyway:

First off, I bought a lot of clothing at the mall when I went with my mom before Christmas. Clothing is just easier if I pick it out myself. I also received many gift cards and checks from various relatives, some of which is to use for college-related expenses, and some of which I’m going to use to buy hella music CDs.

On Christmas, I unwrapped some new white gloves, a white ski cap, two long sleeve shirts, Logic Studio 9, a small MIDI Keyboard for my Mac, the Orchestra Jam Pack for Garage Band, Adobe Dreamweaver and Flash, See’s candies, marzipan candies, a little “computer” for my bike (that shows speed, distance, even GPS), several DVDs and books including Lost Season 5 and Bruno (lol…my mom wants to see it now), a coin-sorting bank, an HDMI cable and a new SD card, and several other smaller things that I can’t quite think of right now while I’m this tired…

It was great; I love Christmas and I hope I always will. :)

jonsblond's avatar

sigh

@tinyfaery & @Darwin Thank you and hugs! I wasn’t completely left out. My daughter did give us a card with a beautiful poem that included her hand print. Priceless! I love kindergarten teachers! :)

mrentropy's avatar

Thanks, @Val123, but the link is invalid :)

Jude's avatar

@jonsblond Give me your address, as well. I want to send you a little some from the land of beer and beavers. :)

We haven’t done my family gift opening, yet. That’ll happen today. From my girl, I got Dolce and Gabanna perfume, sexy gotchies, Bose speakers for my laptop and a painting.

Val123's avatar

@mrentropy YOU RE-GIFTED MY PRESENT, DIDN’T YOU!!! (It’s OK. I don’t remember what it was!)

tinyfaery's avatar

@jonsblond I demand your address. You are in violation of the rules of Giftmas.

Val123's avatar

@tinyfaery “Giftmas.” Oh. That’s a new one, but SO appropriate. So appropriate it’s sad…..

tinyfaery's avatar

Giftmas is my winter holiday. Do not mock me. ;)

Val123's avatar

Me? Neva!
