How do you record videos in the night with a Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS3 camera?

Asked by xTheDreamer (897points) December 29th, 2009

When you usually record with a camcorder there’s a light for you to turn on, so that you can see the people in the night when you record. But how do you do that on a Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS3? When I record with it in the night, I usually can’t see anything on it, like you can’t see the people when you record. You just see a blank black screen. So I’m wondering how do I have to use it in the night to record something?

Find a better lit location. Or, get a light.

I don’t know anything about the Panasonic Lumix, but most camcorders have the ability to attach a light. You might also have a night vision feature, but that’ll turn everything green or light gray. So you might not want to use that unless you’re trying to film blair witch 3… 2…? 4…? Not sure how many there are.
