I have a 1997 mazada 626 and my heater is not working?

Check the heater core. Is there fluid on the passenger side floor dripping up near front?
Or it may be a faulty thermostat.

yes fluid is dripping from the driver side

Heater core. Get a mechanic or pick up a Chilton manual.

Actually, it’s really not something you want to do yourself. Last heater core I blew, it was worth the $400 to have someone else do the dirty work… and that is about how much it runs too.

Oh, and I hope for your sake that you don’t have an automatic. The CD4E in the older 626 was failure prone; they tend to need replacement every 40,000 miles (unless you get a heavy-duty transmission cooler installed), and transmissions are not cheap!
