Anything you miss, don't miss, or regret about 2009?

Asked by EgaoNoGenki (1164points) December 31st, 2009

What do you miss about 2009?

What do you not miss about 2009?

What are some regrets from that year?

(It doesn’t have to be current events that millions of people already know, but if you wish, you can include that too.)

I miss being a year younger. In fact, I miss being many different ages.

I can look on the bright side. Medical & Cosmetic science keeps advancing, so when I become ½ and ¾-century old, I can still look the age I am now. Anti-aging methods by 2035 and 2060 will make Michael Jackson’s attempts to remain looking young medievally primitive by comparison.

We’re talking about the acceleration of the acceleration of technology.

(Can someone remind me how to underline?)

After the technological singularity, I could even look 10 again if I wanted, but will probably settle for 15, or 20 at the most.

I regret the waste of years i spent with an ex SO.

@faye If you’re under ½-century old today, I think we’ll live to see the “longevity escape velocity” – where life expectancy will increase by 1.01 years for every year that elapses, and then more.

Then we’ll have all the years we’ll ever need to spend it the right way.

(If anyone’s interested in looking younger then, I know cosmetic science will advance as fast as medical science does. Cosmetic science in 25 years will make Michael Jackson’s methods look medieval in comparison.)

Yeah. Something I miss. I was younger in 2009.

Come to think of it: No.
Good and bad, it was a year of events that needed to take place and I’m quite ready to continue on from there.

Overall I regret finishing and not starting things that I should of.

Horrible year, wish I (we) could have skipped over that one. 2009 truly sucked and 2010 will probably be no better.

I miss my mom. This will be my first entire year without her.

I miss playing football for my school.

I don’t miss all the unfortunate events that had to happen.

I regret some of the decisions I made in my life and relationship wise..but i wouldn’t have done it any other way. And I hope to make 2010 a great year for me in all aspects of my life.
