No one has ever experienced any paranormal activity. The mental effects come first, then you experience normal events as paranormal.

I see the same ghosts all the time…except I’m the only one that can see them how weird is that? I think it may have an affect on my mental health… lol

just a note of caution, flutherites tend to be very against anything that goes against common scientific beliefs. interesting question though and I hope you get some good answers

@RedPowerLady You mean that Flutherites tend to be well educated, sensible, intelligent and well informed?

RedPowerLady's avatar

@pdworkin You can frame it however you would like ;)

I would say that yes flutherites are well educated, sensible, intelligent, and well informed (of course) but I don’t think it has to be mutually exclusive with paranormal phenomenon or the other non discussable topic, alternative medicine

We like empirical proof, and you should be satisfied with nothing less yourself, especially when it comes to your health.

@pdworkin except when it causes no harm right and the placebo affect takes place causing an uprising in emotions at least… hehe…

But you are right flutherites certainly do like their empirical proof. I’m a rebel though ;)

I discuss alternative medicine all the time here and am also well-educated, intelligent and well-informed (I say, modestly). Other than occasionally thinking about someone and have him or her phone me several minutes later, I have had no paranormal experience…except, of course, the small table in my den that walks around when I am not looking.

I hope no one thinks I am against discussing anything. There are some questions on which I will always have the same opinion, such as questions about the paranormal, an oxymoron, I believe.

RedPowerLady's avatar

I concur, on the topic that we should be able to discuss anything.

Yeah i’ve had experiences..being held down, being choked/smothered, and on one occasion waking up and seeing what was doing these things. Other feelings of not being alone etc. Could have all been manifested in my head i don’t really know. On the physical side I woke up with 3 distinct scratches on the back side of my neck that weren’t self inflicted, not sure what that was about.

I have experienced several unexplainable things…I have been lucky enough to not SEE anything, nor feel anything to the extent Ansible1 has.

Yes, and yes. And I won’t have anyone tell me I didn’t experience anything paranormal if they were not in the situation themselves, while the things I did experience were taking place. I’m a skeptical person. Not one to scream, “It’s a ghost!!!1!!!11!”. Some things, however, are beyond explanation for the time being.
