How to style/combat Cocker Spaniel hair?

Asked by gemiwing (14718points) January 13th, 2010

I have long hair and have no idea what to do with it so it languishes in a ponytail most of the time. When I wear it down it makes me look like a cocker spaniel- flat on top and puffy on the sides.

I don’t like having hair in my face but am getting really tired of the ‘Housewife Look’.

My hair is about four inches below my shoulders and I have apple cheeks. I could do a french twist but I’m hoping to find a style that is a bit more flowing.

How do you keep the frizzies at bay and style your hair? Any tips or tricks greatly appreciated. I have styling products but can’t seem to really get the look I try for lately.

Go and see a stylist and explain your predicament. Ask them what kind of cut would help or what kind of products and techniques.

@Marina Thanks- I’m going out today and was hoping some of my fellow fashion Jellies would have a tip or two. Can’t find the money right now for a stylist. sigh. I wish.
