Can anyone help me customize my iphone keyboard? (jailbroken)

Ok, here’s what I’ve done. First I went to cydia, downloaded a keyboard theme. I exited cydia, and loaded winterboard, selected the keyboard, and then let the phone automatically respring my springboard. BUT THE KEYBOARD NEVER LOADS. I use this same process with all other themes including complete themes, sms themes, sound themes and pretty much any other theme I havnt mentioned and most of them work. EXCEPT THE KEYBOARD THEMES. I have downloaded about 5 or 6 different themes by different sources (bigposs,iphoneplanet,winterboard) and NONE load after the phone resprings. I even tried using iAcces and still nothing. what am I doing wrong?

Does anyone know a simple step by step process of changing my keyboard appearance? thank you.
