You have 12 hours before your space craft embarks on a life long journey...

Asked by judochop (16119points) January 18th, 2010

How do you spend your last 12 hours on Earth with your family and friends? What would you wear, eat and listen to? What would your last words be before leaving? You can take one non-living thing with you, what would you take?

i’d do a lot of girls i’d always wanted to do, after that i’d eat some spareribs even though i’m a vegitarian, after that i’d probably listen to Boston’s “don’t look back” album, i’d say “if i find a broken statue of liberty when i get back, someones gonna suffer !” and then leave/ but the one part i can’t stress enough is that i’d do a lot of girls, and i do mean a lot, and in all positions etc. i’d just misbehave and might even miss the flight…

Not to hard for me. I would have a good sit down and talk with my little brother and sister.

Then be on my way.

With my acoustic guitar.

I would go for a walk in a park, breath deeply and remember the sweet smell of “real” air. Swim in the ocean. Hold someone I love close to me.
With 12 hours to go, all the celebration and goodbyes would mostly be over.

I would take the time to reflect on what I will not have for some time.

Probably bringing some drum sticks.

Would spend every last minute with my sweetheart and visit my parents. I would wear a nice suit and tie, and tell them how special they all are to me and how they are always in my heart. I would actually cook my last meal with my girlfriend (probably lasana or something like that ), and would take along my iphone (mostly because it has all my pictures, music, and videos). It would provide the most memories of the things that I value most.

Do something as usual. That’s the part of your job,if you scare then don’t do it(you’re already know the risk of your job). Just take it easy, there’s no need to concern about other people on your job or you won’t be professional in your job(it will hurtful if you miss something you like but can’t do for long period).

I’d have lots and lots of sex. Maybe in the outdoors so I can appreciate both simultaneously. And I’d take my guitar with me.

@NaturalMineralWater Well, shit yeah. I agree.

Save for the guitar. I think I’d take my laptop. What kinda wireless signals can you get in space these days?

Good question, really time to get into that situation..

Stay home and/or in bed with my other half, take a walk through the woods and then go by my parents to say goodbye. Not much of an exit, but I’m expected to come back next year anyway.
It’s my job, get over it.

What would I take? My toothbrush of course.

How could I leave my other half to depart on a lifelong journey. Even the journey of my dreams would not be worth taking if I had to leave my soul mate behind.

If it were a journey from which I expected to return after a year, I would call my children and parents, spent a day cuddling and making love with my wife and take my Guild Guitar.

Hah, clearly i just woke up. Lifelong journey… lets see… I’d expect my other half to be working with me anyway, so that’s covered. If i’m supposed to go on my own, tthere’d be too much to take with me.. A laptop with enoug books and music for a lifetime ;-) Say goodbye to everyone. Last words? Before leaving earth? Probably “Power to 120%”
