I know that about 49 people get eaten each year there by polar bears but I don’t know any other stats

Google said 594 in 2007.

1.9%.

BUT the majority of these murders come from very secluded and the least desirable places to live.

The most northern Territories have high rates of murder as does Manitoba (prairie province, very flat, cold, low population)

The East is better than the West, but the West isn’t that bad in comparison to the North and Manitoba.

i actually think bc is pretty high on the list (especially if you factor in gang related deaths… @LeopardGecko but as far as least desirable i dont think that is accurate….i think # of residents when you get a lower number the accurances seem higher than areas with huge populations….but in answering the question the canadian murder rate is about 1.8 per 100 000 with is about a quarter of what it is in the states

No, BC is about 1000 per 100,000. Gang related deaths don’t play a huge role in the total deaths in B.C, I think we reached 73 last year, I’m not entirely sure, but the Vancouver Sun kept count. Well, it is, ha ha, the least desirable areas to live in Canada are the Territories, which have the highest crime rate, second comes Saskatchewan, then Manitoba, ask any Canadian, and you’ll know that. I believe most of the crime comes from Edmonton in Alberta, as it is not the nicest place I’ve been too. B.C crime rate follows, like you said the higher the population you get lower numbers. But it is definitely 1.9% crime rate across Canada.
