Why can't i wear flipflops?

Asked by john65pennington (29258points) January 21st, 2010

For years, i have attempted to manipulate flipflops on my feet. i have about 6 pair of flipflops that are brand new and gathering dust in the closet. whats wrong with my toes? i can place a pair of flipflops on my feet, take two steps and they go into orbit. i thought about using rubber bands to make them secure, but that would decrease the blood, so what do i do? am i alone in this endeavor?

Hm, what about the ones that have straps on the back of your ankles?

With flip-flops, you have to curl your toes just a little to keep them on. Have you tried that?

I suggest you get proper sandals instead of flipflops. They support your feet better.

@Nullo I agree. It doesn’t take much to turn an ankle in flip-flops.

I can’t wear them either. I just can’t keep them on no matter what I do and if I try to curl my toes to hold them on, I just can’t even walk at all. I wear things like this instead

I think they were designed for teen age girls and for guys going to the shower at the gym. Other than that, there is no way a grown up guy should wear them. Beside, I heard that the strap that goes between you toes is very bad for diabetics. The promote bruising that can lead to deep tissue damage ultimately requiring amputation.
