Mirror system that reverses images each eye sees?

Asked by jackm (6212points) January 26th, 2010

What is the system of mirrors that takes the image going to the right eye and directs it toward the left eye, and does the same with the image going to the left eye (makes it go to the right eye)

What is the term for this?

Its just like that, but the image that was meant to go to the right eye goes to the left and vice versa.

It creates a very weird illusion of reverse depth.

@jackm, @jordy240 has it right, here’s another link. It’s kind of cool. http://www.patentstorm.us/patents/7061678/description.html

@Trillian

No, that takes the image intended for the right eye and sends it to the right eye. What I am looking for takes the image intended for the right eye and sends it to the left eye.
