Flowers, a back rub, make dinner ( you can find some mad simple recipes on the internet), then before foreplay, kiss every part of her body after exclaiming how beautiful your girl is.

take out the end of that if shes not down for some intimacy

just try to be thoughtful, cute, and sincere. What you can’t actually do, fake the shit out of. I’ve found that spending time and being genuine are normally what pays off

Buy her a card. Write something nice on it. Do it a week early so she gets the impression this is really something on your mind and you are thinking ahead. Get her a couple more cards during the week. Same deal. On the day give her chocolate. I personally prefer Godiva dark chocolate covered strawberries. Interesting presentations, that. Little money, no big deal, big impact.

Don’t cook for her unless you are a great cook.

Seriously, what a lot of women would want? Prepare a nice dinner (pasta and sauce is easy) and do the dishes. Then massage her back and feet. After that, see where the night takes you. When she’s good and relaxed, then bring out the box.

A nice perfume(girls love that). But you needs to find out what is her favorite thing first. Or you can at least describe it. That will contribute more on her. Really.

One big tip: NO LINGERIE. That is not a gift for her… it is a gift for you.
Now that that’s out of the way, here are some things I’ve received and loved (a lot of these depend on the type and duration of your relationship, though):

Mylar balloon, heart shaped
Jewelry (from super inexpensive to diamonds)
Card with a heartfelt personal message inside
Homemade romantic dinner
A letter telling me how much and why he loves me
Gift certificate for a massage
A Valentine’s stuffed animal
Having him paint my nails (fingers and toes!)

@augustlan YIKES…you are into this stuff. Did all these things come from one suitor…or several?

@plethora I like your ideas except not cooking unless you’re good at it. I think a crappy cook who really tries would be cute and endearing as long as you have a pizza delivery number on hand in case things really go to shit.

The boy and I have gotten a couple’s massage every year around Vday. It’s a gift for both of us, and it’s sensual to have the experience together.

@plethora Several different suitors, but most from my ex-husband… who was far more into it than I was!

@augustlan A wise woman…;)

Don’t make it the exception. Spread out the love… throughout the year. There’s nothing worse than a partner who makes a huge deal about Feb. 14 and shows little or no effort the other 364 days of the year.
