How much should it cost to extend one gutter ?

Asked by philosopher (9065points) February 5th, 2010

I noticed some dampness on a wall in my house. The roofer came and said, one gutter should be extended. I believe him. What is a fear price for extending one gutter?
How can I find out what it should cost? I there a web cite ?

It depends how high of a building you’re talking about. The higher the building, the greater the risk, the more expensive it can get. Typical replacement cost of gutters run on the average of $8–10/ft. For your extension, add about $120–150 and have the rest of the gutters cleaned up with it.

If you’re only extending a couple of feet, be prepared for an extra expense for the contractor to set everything up as well.

@njnyjobs
I have a one family home. It is a colonial. Two floors. Is two hundred and twenty five dollars too high?

That’s about right…. but do ask them to clean the gutters all around.

I’d say that’s a bargain.

I wouldn’t do it that cheap. But I’m having a hard time visualizing what you need done.
