Are you curious about Mardi Gras parades?

Asked by KhiaKarma (4331points) February 14th, 2010

You can watch one live….. (if you watch when there is actually a parade going on)

I’m leaving the house for one in about 15 minutes.

Sounds like it must have been fun! I didn’t make it last night but today should be great too. Hope you start feeling better!

I live in Louisiana and went to Mardi Gras parades as a child with my father.Fun,but for adults,it’s drinking, flashing and kaos.

@CharlieGirl I have seen no flashing at any of the parades since I have moved here. The flashing usually occurs on Bourbon street (and that is for adults only!), not on the main parade route. If it happens on the main parade route, they are usually tourists, and it is generally frowned upon by the crowd and taken seriously by the police (if you’re seen).

I think if you look at the livestream you will see tons of kids. They also make ladders for the kids and people dress up….it’s such a sharing spirit of community.

Yeah,it can be fun for the whole family, but I suggest being really careful, because saftey should be first, especially with alot of kids.

They are cool and can be loads of fun! :)

I’d love to go to a parade since I flash my tits to my neighbors in my spare time anyway.
They seem like a lot of fun.

@Vunessuh You can flash me via PM if you want to! J/K!! Flashing is a part of Mardi Gras but like @KhiaKarma said it is usually in the Quarter where it’s adults only.
