EeePC 1005HA running Ubuntu 9.10 to slow for Youtube?

hi there,

i installed the newest flash-plugins and in some few cases – when i watch the videos dierectly at the youtube-website – it works, but normaly (specially on soup.io) it’s sooo slow and unwatchable.

any ideas how i can fix that?

You can try and see if proprietary drivers are available for your hardware (I’m not experienced with the Eee), under System->Administration->Hardware Drivers.

It might also be a problem of Flash or of having out sites open.

when i run Hardware Drivers: “No propreitary drivers are in use on this system”...

problem solved!

there are some known – and solved – issues with this netbook-modell
(https://wiki.ubuntu.com/HardwareSupport/Machines/Netbooks)
after the installation of this specific modules the video-problem was solved too.

sorry for asking – but thx anyway! :-)

try googling “ubuntu tweak” they have a auto-install for the latest adobe drivers.
