Have you a talisman / lucky charm which has changed your life or helped you in life?

Asked by partyparty (9162points) March 1st, 2010

My friend has just got very distressed because she has lost her talisman. It was a St Christopher, she carried in her purse. She claimed it has helped her throughout her life.

Have you got, or have you had, a lucky charm which has helped you in life? Could you explain how this happened?

Do you think it is all superstition? If so could you say why?

I have a flat rock I carry around, it is a skipping stone sealed with a kiss that brings me comfort and a sense of connection that comes in handy during a stressed out day.

I also have a lucky boot that brings me great satisfaction during those special moments

I also have a rock sealed with a kiss and wrapped in a poem. I don’t know that it ever brough me luck exactly, but I really like having it. It’s comforting.

I have a tattoo that pretty much replaced my necklace. It is basically the same and when I am nervous I look at it and feel better. Kinda weird but it works.

@Cruiser That is really lovely, thanks. I really didn’t expect an answer from a ‘male’, but good for you. Glad it helps.
@lazydaisy Wow how lovely that is, thanks
