What is your favorite kind of shower?
I was nspired by the discussion in this thread that discusses how wonderful it is to shower for the first time after being released from the hospital. Now I am wondering; what is your favorite shower? Personally, I love no shower more than the one after a day of sailing or after a day at the drag races. Both of those showers feel so wonderful I could stay in there for hours! Do you have a favorite shower?

The one after a long, sweaty workout, and sleeping to let your body replenish your torn muscles, that’s the best sleep too.
After heavy exertion, and those head attachments that make it feel like you’re standing in a rain shower? Love those!
On hot days. I need to release heat in my body,refresh my mind,and reborn as a new human. But my favorite would be my afternoon bath with warm water induced with some essential oils,and classical music. How relaxing….

The roof over our shower is glass. It gets impossibly bright in the morning, but I love having showers at night when I can look up and see the stars.

Although I really like several of the showers already mentioned here, I’m going to segue a little bit and mention that I like any and all types of rain showers I can get since we get so little of these types of showers in the desert southwest in Phoenix, Arizona.
If I had to absolutely pick a single favorite, it would always be a shower that I get to experience with a partner. It’s twice as nice.

The showers I took while living in a nudist resort were the best! I loved showering outdoors and “air drying” in the sun. For me, there’s nothing better!

After working on a really messy project that has covered me with all sorts of this and that.
I also really enjoy sharing a shower.
And, it is hard to beat watching my sweets under a showers cascade.
The ones I take with my Sweetie, where we have the time to scrub each others backs and fool around before the hot water runs out.

I really love wedding showers. All those hotties in one room! Baby showers are pretty cool, too.
When I was hiking up to Nevada Falls in Yosemite, I saw this waterfall that was about 10-feet high.
I was carrying a lot of body heat, so standing waist-deep in bubbling mountain spring water, with those falls pouring down on me, felt SOOOO refeshing!

Yep, living in the North it gets cold in the winter. After a day out schlepping in the cold, to come to hot shower is loverly.
@SuperMouse You say you love the first shower after a day of sailing – the first shower after a week on a sailboat is even better! And in line with the inspiration for the question, the first shower at home after a hospital stay is the very best.

One where I am not in a hurry.
First thing in the morning, always. It really wakes me up and sets me up for the day. If I’m not in a hurry I can easily stay in there for half an hour – especially when the rest of the house is cold I don;t want to get out again.
Evenings are for baths. They put me to sleep.
I thought this was going to be about the type of shower, like the ones with 15 shower heads…I love taking a shower in my parents’ master bathroom because it has like 8 shower heads and it’s computer controlled (my dad’s doing, of course). :P
I like showers after actually doing something physically demanding and that got me dirty, such as after mountain biking. Usually I just take a shower in the morning out of routine, but I’m not dirty and tired. I still pretty much always take a long shower, but they’re even better if I’ve just done something that required a bit of a workout.
Also, going along with many of the other replies, I have showered with my boyfriend before; we thought it was the weirdest thing at first, but it ended up being awesome. :P

Besides the return from the hospital shower, my second favorite would be after a day of yard work. It’s just refreshing.
The one after you haven’t gotten too in a few days. You can almost feel the grime just running off your body.
We have an outdoor shower at the Fire Island house. That is pretty cool.
But my favorite time to shower is after mowing 2 acres of grass with a beer I’ve started before I get in, and finish after.
The kind where hot water doesn’t run out and I can lie down on the floor, maybe even nap in there.
