HELP! My Wordpress Blog has gone haywire?

Asked by gambitking (4206points) March 11th, 2010

I just moved a Wordpress blog from an old site/domain to a brand new domain and I switched the domains in the WP back end, moved the files over and now the pages are a garbled mess! What do I do to fix it?

Did you move your CSS files over as well? I don’t know much about wordpress in particular, but if you say your pages are a “garbled mess” then it might be because your CSS files are missing. It might help if you linked us to your wordpress blog (even if it is in a state of disarray at the moment).

A link would be great so we can see what’s going on. It does sound like the code can’t find certain files.

i know the CSS is fine because when I disable CSS, the page changes.
(well, its not “fine” , but it is not “missing”)

Did you change the paths in the wp-config file?

i don’t see how the wpconfig file would affect this..
are you missing plugins that existed on the old server?
do they need to be reconfigured?
