The iPhone SDK is on the homescreen at apple.com will future SDK applications work on iPod Touch?

YES!!!! THE SDK WILL BE RELEASED SOON!!! But will it work on the iTouch?

I guess it is kind of a stupid question…

@blunckhouse: It isn’t actually that clear about the iPod Touch, they’ve pretty much screwed the users over by forcing them to pay (again) and they didn’t really mention it at all in the press release.

Apple has to charge for major iPod touch updates to comply with Sarbanes-Oxley. From Daring Fireball:

Unlike with iPhones, Apple is not accounting for iPod Touches on a subscription basis — so they have to charge something to add features in order to comply with Sarbanes-Oxley

And it was mentioned at the SDK event yesterday that there will be a “nominal fee” for the iPod touch upgrade for accounting reasons. Most apps will probably work for both iPhone & iPod touch, unless they specifically rely on the cellular radio capabilities of the iPhone.
