Are the Litigants on the Judges court shows paid anything?

Asked by Roby (2939points) March 14th, 2010

I was wondering if they are paid by the producers and if they have to forfeit their pay if they loose to pay the winner of the case?

Everyone is paid. Also, whatever fines the judge decides one party owes another, the show pays.

You mean they weren’t there to stand up for a principle? Horrors…

They drop the case, in order to be on the show.

What I don’t understand is does the winner of the case get more then the looser?

I have to believe that they both walk away with fair restitution.

The amount of the judgment is paid by the show.
