Maybe an award or trophy or a medal.Perhaps for sporting prowess or academic achievment.Maybe you won the love of your childhood sweetheart, bless.Of course you may never have won anything in the strictest sense of the word,in that case should you have were you robbed of glory?

I once won an award for daydreaming during classtime. It was officially titled: The Spaceman Spiff Award For Interplanetary Travel Without Leaving The Classroom. Some people wouldn’t be proud of that, but I am; it’s framed and hanging back at my parent’s house.

Spaceman Spiff because I looked and acted a lot like Calvin from Calvin & Hobbes as a child.

I also have my fancy shmansy college diploma, but that’s not nearly as cool.

I received the “Principal’s Distinction” award for straight-A’s every semester of middle school and I still have all six of those. At the end of high school, I received a couple of awards, the favorite of mine being the English award from the Rotary Club. My teacher chose me out of her 120+ English students to receive it and she was one of my favorite teachers of all time, perhaps my #1 favorite. That will always remind me of her (though I’m actually friends with her on Facebook…lol).

I have some. They are in boxes somewhere. It was all so long ago. I would not say that I still cherish them.

I never won any awards or trophies in school, mostly because I skipped most of it until I dropped out haha.
I still do have my Sailormoon wallet from back then though. >_>

The 6th Grade Spelling Bee Championship for Paxton Center School.

I once won a series of “one-a-day” elimination questions that our Algebra teacher threw out at us (that is, the questions were asked and ‘correct answerers’ got to participate the next day, too—they weren’t questions about elimination; that would have been Biology) over the course of a few months once. The prize was a two-inch tall gag “World’s Greatest Student” award. I still have it somewhere.

Actually, I’m proud of my varsity letter. I got it sophomore year of HS for exemplary extracurricular academic achievement (debate and forensics).

I kept all the news clippings from awards, events and leadership roles I had in high school. Funny how the ribbons, medals, and pins were more disposable to me.

Summer after 2nd grade I won a trophy for a swim race at camp. It was plastic. The only athletic trophy I ever won. I treasure the memory of it… My little bratty niece broke it when I was in high school.

In 8th grade I broke my middle school’s high jump record. I didn’t get a medal or anything, but I cherish that moment because I beat out all the boys. XD
I have a lot of awards from playing volleyball and basketball as well.
I also have all of my certificates from every honor roll ceremony. In high school I was invited to all of them except one. Stupid math grade.

The thing I cherish is not something I won but was given to me by my kindergarten teacher. It’s a blue doll and even though she is missing her leg I still have her on my book shelf and I plan to have her for the rest of my life.
