Taylor, ham, egg and cheese on a hard roll. The official breakfast sandwich of NJ. Luckily, my local grocery store sells Taylor ham (expensive) so I could make you one.

I love a subway veggie sub.

Deli & Bread Connection on Kaua’i. I have not found a better sandwich in the whole state. Their sourdough bread is awesome. A Subway sub is not even a sandwich next to theirs.

The first thing that came to mind is the sandwiches at Bakesale Betty, a place that is a local legend, so much so that the restaurant is completely unmarked and still always has a line out the door. I haven’t had the brisket sandwich, though I hear it’s amazing, but I can attest that the fried chicken sandwich is bangin’. The prices are good, too, especially for the substantial size of the sandwiches.

There’s a local franchise chain here in south Florida called Sarussi. The churrasco sandwich is particularly delicious.

I can make a burrito (with or without meat) to knock your socks off. The secret is the dill pickle chips. Well, one of the secrets, anyway.

Other than that, I make tuna salad that people who grew up absolutely hating tuna salad ask me to make for them. And I don’t know why, because it’s pretty simple. But it is pretty damn good.

Turkey sandwich on 12-grain bread with jalapeno mustard, maybe? It’s difficult to eat, so I’ll even provide two towels: one to tuck in as a bib, and the other for your lap. I won’t laugh if you don’t.

Otherwise, if I’m feeling lazy and hungry for ‘different’ I head down to the local pizza joint for their chicken parmegan grinder. You want that with peppers and onions, right?

You can go to Lansen and Hennings on Montague Street. Sandwich makers and fine delicatessen since 1947.

Larry’s Deli right up the road makes the best hot pressed Cubans.

Weck’s Deli had an incredible beef-on-weck sandwich, but they expanded to “Weck’s Grill and Eatery”, and I haven’t had a chance to visit since the reopening, so I don’t know if they still do their awesome sandwiches.
