Wherever you are the happiest.

Vunessuh's avatar

Apparently the happiest countries are Denmark and Sweden. Probably because they get to wear wooden shoes. I’d be happy too.

@HTDC in an octopus’s garden in the shade…

Wherever you rest your head, and sleep well.

Anywhere in Australia

I’ve always fancied Indonesia .. sigh. But also a shack in the middle of no where would be good.

This question is impossible to answer, except as a mere poll, which is discouraged on Fluther. You don’t define the subject, not even enough for us to know if you meant human beings. I assume human beings, but then I don’t know if you prefer an urban or a rural life, whether you like the mountains or the seas, whether you intend to farm or to be an attorney.

Denmark is considered the happiest place in the world right now is it not?

janbb's avatar

@uberbatman It was my understanding that the Scandinavian countries had the highest rates of suicide in the world, unless that has changed.

wundayatta's avatar

I hear New Zealand is pretty good. It’s beautiful; it’s not in the middle of any war; it’s developed; and I don’t think the suicide rates are as high as they are in Scandinavia.

Come to Holland eveybody gets health-insurance here! Plus it’s legal to smoke weed, and drink alcohol when you turn 18. Beer and sigarettes, you can buy legally at 16. I’m not saying come to Holland to get wasted, just saying that we’re way more free in those area’s.

I don’t know about the best place, but I’d sure as hell like to make it back to one of the Great Lakes.

Definately, and I’m not trying to be funny, my bed. I have the most comfortable bed imaginable. If I could live in it, I would be in heaven. Other than that I would have to choose to live in the spaceship that Michael Caine designed, in my dream, on top of a random mountain secluded in the forest. So high, it was right by the stars.

In my head?

CMaz's avatar

@IBERnineD – Can we all come and visit your bed?

whereever she is…

IBERnineD's avatar

@ChazMaz I’m afraid it wouldn’t be able to fit all the jellies! You guys would have to take shifts.

CMaz's avatar

Take shifts!!??

What a woman!

IBERnineD's avatar

@ChazMaz I meant sharing the bed!!!

The above responses make mine trite and uncalled for. A tough act to follow.
@IBERnineD Rocks!

YARNLADY's avatar

@Vunessuh I believe wooden shoes are from Holland, not Scandinavia. Wooden platform sandals are also worn in Japan.

Vunessuh's avatar

@YARNLADY Yes, wooden shoes are from The Netherlands, but Sweden and Denmark are known to wear them as well. :)

I searched the globe and felt like Dorothy when I was done. There’s no place like Southern California.

Ltryptophan's avatar

Louisiana was listed as the happiest place in the states. Food is a major part of our lifestyle. Since America is undoubtedly the best place to live, and Louisiana is the happiest place, I suggest here!

whyigottajoin's avatar

@Vunessuh & @YARNLADY => FYI; You won’t see a single person walking on the street actually wearing wooden shoes here! They sell them as souveniers in Amsterdam alot, but no-one actually wears them. lol.

Vunessuh's avatar

@whyigottajoin Bummer. I totally would. I like them and I’ve always wanted a pair. :)

bob_'s avatar

@Vunessuh I bet they’re so happy because they got all these tall, blonde chicks. Lord knows I’d be happy, too.

@IBERnineD Regarding this bed, what brand is it ? Or is it great because of memory foam?

IBERnineD's avatar

It’s just the bed that came with my apartment, with a regular old Target memory foam pad I got four years ago. I think it’s that and the bedding, my comforter and pillows are amazing and comfy.

Aster's avatar

@IBERnineD We have an older, cheap bed that is Much nicer than the new king; it’s in the guestroom. It was $300 for the queen set. Then I put a latex foam , 4” , on it and it’s softer than ever. I wish I could throw out the costly king mattress and exchange it for an old one.
