Any fundraiser ideas?

Asked by Draconess25 (4461points) March 25th, 2010

Our local school district has cut 26 job positions, & 12 staff members have lost their jobs. They’re also planning on eliminating the arts from school curriculums. We need ideas for fundraisers in order to keep our hardworking teachers.

The government keeps talking about how bad our educational system is, but how can it get better if there’s no educators?

Ideas we’ve thought of:
* Concerts.
* School dances.

@Draconess25
I was going to say pancake breakfasts and spaghetti dinners.
But re-read your question ===> 38 people times $50 K/year comes out to almost $2,000,000 YIKES.

26 job cuts…

I’d be inclined to start an alternative learning school.

Write a very moving letter to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and some other foundations. The truth is you’re not going to come up with 2 million dollars by having car washes.
