Where is the cheapest place to buy a 1972 monte carlo?

Asked by Ineedhelp101 (10points) March 28th, 2010 from iPhone

Ok so my dad is trying to find a 1972 monte carlo for me and him to rebuild. Doesn’t even have to run cause he is a mechanic and can buld a car from scratch. We are trying to find one of these cars as a project car for me and him to work on. Can someone show me where or maybe a website were I can find one cheap?

Um, it’s obviously going to depend on where you are located.

ebay motors, then search by zip and you can find the closest one by your place.

i’m surprised that your dad can “build a car from scratch” but doesn’t have the resources to find the car . . . just an odd thought.

I would guess that like many fathers he is allocating some of the responsibility to his son. “You find the car that you want and I’ll help you restore it. As for locating one, there are many magazines devoted to car restoration and they carry ads for old vehicles.

Touche. That would be a good reason. Sorry, didn’t have a dad alot of the time so those thoughts don’t naturally pop into my head.

When all other possible contacts fail, like ebay, find a junk yard close to you and pay a visit. most up to date junk yards have computers to tell you what they have in stock out in the junkyard. take it from the bottom and build to the top.
