i’m the same…..i even talk about medical marijuana on FB now, with christian friends and all. I do tone down my sexual comments on FB because there are children i know on there. You guys get the real me…..spacy and all.

the only other public sites I am on, I am the same ‘yarnlady’ as I am here. (P.S. I am not the Yarnlady.com yarn shop owner)

I use the same name – some have a different (either older or more recent) photo. I have yet to post any photos taken after I fully recovered from cancer. I should do so I suppose. I look very gaunt in all of them.

Facebook is where I keep in contact with people I know in real life. Schoolmates, friends, family (including my mother).
I don’t really have many controversial things to talk about in general, but I do opt to not talk about those few on FB.
Twitter and tumblr I exclusively have online friends. So I’m not afraid to post pictures where I look like a huge creepy dork, or talk about something sexy or controversial.

They’re all me, though. I don’t pretend to be religious on any of them, or pretend to love drugs or anything.
My Facebook posts are typically thoughts. My Tumblr posts are typically images that I love. My tweets are a mixture of the two.

I’m about the same no matter where you find me.

My purple square is my online face wherever I go.

I am probably
more entertaining on facebook,
more arty on my blog and
more depressed and real here

This is the real me apart from my picture, I use the same profile pic & info on Answerbag, I’m Scooby on both sites……
In the real world my face book account is for me to keep in touch with the very few people who I consider trustworthy enough to know who I really am & of course family members so far away, I’m exactly the same in real life as I am on here & Answerbag, oh I forgot I don’t use it often but I also use Gobster….. :-/

I refrain from some of my more splashy comments on FB. Some of my friends on that are rather young relatives. I have different handles on different sites and my photo is only up on FB. And they’re all the real me.It may be toned down on FB. but it’s still me. It’s not like I cuss in front of all and sundry. There’s a time and place for everything n the intertubes, as in real life.

I have family & RL friends on FB besides internet friends, of course. So I tone things down. Some people know the “real” me on there, but most don’t. If I admitted & talked about stuff that I have on here on FB, I’d hear an outcry of protests.

My fluther name & avatar is the same one I had on Askville. On Facebook, I’m there under my real name & a picture of me. I think that’s what Facebook should be. The real thing. How can people fine you if you’re going under a screen name?

im the same. i never really talk about controversial things period, except maybe once in a blue moon God and marijuana. the only social site i use really is facebook, and mostly to keep up with friends back home and i do upload a lot of photos to it. but i dont act any differently….whats the point of that?

I use my real name and real face on Facebook, and I hardly ever post anything there. I just use it to keep an eye on my daughter and to see the odd, actually interesting note about family members or friends. Also pix and video.

I am virtually my real self, here.

i’m the real me on facebook, twitter and on here too, i just like to be myself, a happy go lucky teenage girl who likes to have fun. lol :P

From observing trolls and pests on other forums, I would say that it is really hard to be anything other than yourself for a great length of time.

As for me, I’m the same where ever I go. It would be too much work to be anything else.

I’m more thoughtful here. I’m hardly ever present on Facebook – it takes too much time to keep up with it. My husband would say that I’m whinier on twitter, but it usually take me longer than 140 characters to get out of a funk.

I am pretty much the same wherever I go. Then again, I am prone to erratic moods even IRL, so take that with a grain of salt ;)
