General Question

I need something to take use of my laptops IR port.

I am going to be buying 2 sonic screwdriver propes, one to keep as is and one to add an IR LED into. I want it so that when I aim the sonic screwdriver at my computer, it will make the TARDIS sound. It would be freaking sweet! I just need a program that will take input from the IR port and open the file. Do you know a program that will do this?

You are going to have to write one. I haven’t owned a notebook computer with an IR port for many years – haven’t even seen one. Like RS232 ports they seem to have faded away.
