When and why do you treat your body the worst, foodwise?

Asked by wundayatta (58722points) April 10th, 2010

I’m not a big fan of junk food. I hate the smell of corn chips. Cheez Wiz makes me panic. I’m trying not to drink sugar water any more, which is really hard. If you want no sugar, you have to drink plain water. There seems to be virtually no flavored water without sweetener.

However, I do occasionally get a craving, and that craving is for a quarter-pound cheeseburger at McDonalds. Often when I get this craving, I am depressed. If I find myself wanting McDonalds, it is a good sign that I am depressed or about to be depressed.

What’s your guilty pleasure? Under what circumstances do you most often find yourself indulging in that pleasure?

Ruffles Cheddar and Sour Cream chips.

I love these and I could eat them all day long. Anytime I see a bag I have to have them. I love everything about them. They are my guilty pleasure.

I don’t buy any junk food, but I like potato chips and sometimes have them at other people’s houses.

Chicken nuggets… I will always be under the heel of any restaurant that serves chicken nuggets.

Chocolate, chocolate, my dark master.

I love everything, all the time…but my ass won’t allow it! lol

One of my favs. is anything mexican..I could live on mexican food with buckets full of salsa, fresh avacados or guacamole and sour cream. My biggest downfall ( next to cheesecake, haha ) is my home made nachos.

Chips with refried beans, tons of extra sharp cheddar, fresh diced tomatos, avacados, black olives and sour cream and salsa.

OMG! Maybe I can beat the big storm thats coming and got to the grocery store before the front hits! lololol

when I pms i want it all which is not a good thing. I will want one thing, then when i have it, i lose interest or it will remind me of something else. then i have to have the other thing. my guiltiest pleasure is when i crave a chocolate bar like a snickers…..or a twix..yum
this is the time i avoid going to the grocery store (dam check out isles of deliciousness) and going inside gas stations!

Every weekend.. they’re tough… I want anything good…. today I ate artichoke antipasto and asparagus with hollandaise sauce until it came out of my ears.. but I also love chocolate… lasagne…scampi… potato wedges…cheesecake…good food cooked by me…sometimes it is McDonalds too…. a good Chinese..or Indian… I make a good curry…

I just love food.. I am passionate about it…and I let myself love myself at weekends by indulging… but of course…it’s is always always always…bittersweet there is always the judgemental Monday morning on the scales…sadly

When angry then I’ll eat food I know will upset my stomach. I’ll head to Jack n The Box and order tacos and Jalepeno poppers. PMS time means a trip to In ‘n Out Burger for a cheeseburger and maybe the convenience store for miniature chocolate donuts. The food choices satisfy my cravings during stress times but remind me they aren’t healthy and that I feel better the rest of the without them.

McDonalds Sausage and Egg McMuffin, once a month when I work Saturdays. I call and pick one up on my way in to work.

Coke, (the brown carbonated kind), I love the stuff. I hardly ever have it, but wow, it is the best when I do! Sugar is the enemy!

I will say that the downside to smoking weed is that I get the munchies like nothing else on earth. I can eat for 5 hours straight. It’s really bad. Because instead of holding off, I eat, and eat, and eat, and eat. Usually junk food too. It’s amazing I’m not 300 pounds. My indulgences last night were a few eggo waffles, pop tart, some cookies, a bag of chips, chicken soup, omg…..so much more too. I’m embarrassed.

I’m pretty bad when I’m on vacation.. I guess I just don’t want to worry about anything when i’m vacationing.. including what I eat. I just enjoy everything and worry about it when I’m back.

Lately, chocolate chip cookies, and what @deni said. I knew I liked that girl lol

Taco Bell, but it always makes me sick afterwards.

I love a good fried breakfast – eggs, bacon, hash browns, pancakes, maple syrup, baked beans, toast; the works. We used to do one every Saturday, but for the sake of our arteries and my thighs, we’ve cut back to one a month.

Otherwise I love a good, rich chocolate brownie, and of course anything that involves lashings of butter.

Mine is a Big Mac or Angus burger with fries. My doctor’s office, sadly, is close to MacDonalds. I am very proud of myself when I don’t do it. And, of course, poutine anytime.

Another one of mine is McDonald’s Egg Mcmuffin with a hash brown. Delicious!!

Honestly when there’s nothing else to eat. My family buys way more junk food than I am willing and happy to eat, but sometimes thats all thats there and thats when I begrudgingly eat it anyways. I felt so good yesterday when I went out and had sushi. It was so green and fresh. Not a drop of guilt.

When I travel (drive) I buy really crappy food I would never buy at home because it’s convienient.

@thriftymaid
Costco has a box of all natural chips of different kinds. Small bags
They also have baked or pop chips. They are much healthier.
I do not eat chips but the trick is to eat a small amount.

thriftymaid's avatar

@philosopher Yes, that would be the trick.:) I do better to not have it around. I do keep popcorn to pop in an air popper if I want a salty snack.

Nutella. I’m on a pretty strict diet. I haven’t had McDonalds in a very, very long time. But every now and again its nice to have a piece of white bread with a bit of nutella spread :)

Oh, and very rarely white wine. But I don’t keep it in the house often.

Sophief's avatar

I don’t treat my body bad, with junk food anyway.

jeanmay's avatar

@Sophief I thought biscuits were your weakness!

Sophief's avatar

@jeanmay It’s the only bad thing I eat, and I probably used to have about 3 a day!

jeanmay's avatar

@Sophief 3 is no where near enough!
