Fluther isn’t about trying to get as many points as possible. It’s about giving thoughtful answers and actually trying to help people.
That said, here are things that really get on my nerves that you should probably avoid:
-People that use txtspk all the time
-People that don’t try to use good grammar
-Trolls in general.

Make an earnest effort to answer other people’s questions, try not to be a dick.

Ask well-written, thought provoking questions and give well intentioned, well-written, helpful answers. The occasional hilarious joke might help too.

Prostitute yourself. But really, you know lurve/awards don’t mean anything, right?

Being a smartass has served me well lurve-wise.

gailcalled's avatar

@AstroChuck: Ah, but maybe that was pity lurve.

@emoney1994: Have me edit all your Q & A’s. That should do it.

AstroChuck's avatar

@gailcalled- I’m not beyond accepting a little “pity lurve”.

@AstroChuck Really, a nine year old boy is too young to be a Lurve whore. Go play with your trucks and then clean your room!
There, I Lurved you. Happy?
See that? You made me use a noun like a verb. Damn you @AstroChuck!

[Mod Note:] The suggestions of @malevolentbutticklish regarding self-lurve is against Fluther guidelines and is likely to result in termination of your account.

Additionally, hijacking email accounts is in no way connected to Lurve so doing such a total jackass thing would not in any way benefit you on Fluther. There is no way to find out a users personal email on Fluther.
Just sayin’

Great answers, lots and lots of great answers, and sometimes a great question too.

@Trillian- Who this 9-year-old boy?

Fix your grammar and spelling.

@Dog: Lurve in no way benefits your Fluther! It is meaningless.

Also my censored comment was a valid answer. You can obtain lurve in ways which are against the guidelines. The question wasn’t which ways of obtaining lurve are allowed or which ways are noble or which ways are favored or which ways are nice. I answered the question with answers I thought others would be too shy to post and it was censored. Don’t come to Fluther for uncensored answers.

@Dog: Was my censored answer a “suggestion”? I believe you have censored my answer then misrepresented it through the use of the word “suggestion”.

I still think the whole lurve thing was the beginning of the end. Don’t you all miss just chatting and not looking to see what your score is? I do understand that its become a game of sorts; to win awards and badges and get higher lurve score – but it attracts people who like just that – games. Sigh.

Not all awards are achieved by lurve.
