What would you say has been the greatest horse ever to grace the screen?

There have been many, i’ll leave it up to you to decide amongst yourselves.Whether it appeared in a movie or tv show, when you were a child or maybe recently.Examples of horsey champions please.

Definitely Black Beauty. Gorgeous horse.

@Vunessuh I had a dog named Beauty a while back, jet black the name suited her. This is a slightly sad confession but I secretly loved the music on Black Beauty, there I said it.

Oh God.
This is entirely too difficult for me.
I think all horses are the greatest.

But as far as movies go…...

There’s Pie in National Velvet.. who is actually the grandson of Man o’ War, who is one of the best racehorses ever.

There’s the horse in Dreamer, who was trained wonderfully.

Hidalgo. I have no words to explain how badly I wanted to ride that horse after I saw the movie.

There’s Seabiscut, who has an amazing story and a set of skills to match.

There’s The Black Stallion who I like more than Black Beauty

There’s Spirit.. even though that was animated.. I love that horse.

The Friesian in Ladyhawke was extremely gorgeous.

Flicka was a fantastic horse and movie.

I could list for days. I adore horses.

@rangerr Yeah that kinda shines through. Horses & star wars, it’s little miss action girl.Good for you.

@absalom Excuse my ignorance but ????

rangerr's avatar

@absalom Yeah, but Barbaro doesn’t have a movie/show. Just the race footage. Unless greatest horses ever is an option, then I’d really be writing a long answer.
