Is there a place on the internet where I can play "Sims Life Stories" for free?

Asked by rentluva5256 (555points) May 12th, 2010

I’ve got no money and would like to play my favorite game. Please don’t leave any comments saying what a scammer I am. I already know that. All I need is some answers. Thank you.

I’m pretty sure that you need the disc to play it and cannot play it online. The game should cost about twenty dollars, and you’ll need a dvd drive on your computer if you want to buy it and play it.

Are there ways you could download it for free?

@rentluva5256 There are ways. Sadly, I dont think the FBI would be too fond of you using them.

torrents are your friends

As @Arp has stated, there are no legal ways of downloading it for free (that I’m aware of) and if you really want to play it, you’ll have to pay for it.

Alright then, how about any other sim games?

@rentluva5256 “The Sims” has always, and will probably always be a commercial series. So, you can either buy them or find a free alternative :\

@arp That’s what I mean. What other “free alternatives” are out there?

@rentluva5256 You might want to look around for some games in the “life simulation” genre. I couldnt find any straight-off clones, but you might consider doing some research on the genre, to see if you can find a free or open source game similar. Good luck!

There are no Sims games that you can legally play for free. And you should pay for them if you want to play; a lot of people put a lot of time and effort into creating those games, and they should be compensated. Of course, people will always pirate software (and if you want to know how to do that, I suggest you ask elsewhere – I don’t think the mods would like us teaching others how to do illegal things.)

Similarly I don’t know any other free life-simulation games out there that are on the same caliber as the Sims, since they’re pretty complex. I did a quick search for “flash life simulation game” and the first hit was this game called MicroLife. I don’t know how good it is, but hey, it’s free.
