What is andropause?

Asked by teebow (6points) June 1st, 2010

My father is 59 and claims to have andropause, but he never went to the doctor. I think he’s using this as an excuse to guilt-free leave us. What is andropause??

It’s when an android gets menopause.

Something usually countered through the purchase of an expensive red convertible sports car.

It is the result of low/dropping testosterone levels.

And if he is using this as his reason for bailing out on his family, you are right he is just making excuses. Changing hormones can affect your emotions but they can’t make you completely irresponsible for your choices.

It’s a gradual decline in testosterone production that can be easily prevented or reversed through exercise and weight control.
