Ways to download videos fast from youtube?

I was using realplayer but it kept messing up the videos when downloading, what other ways are there?

The real player video made the sound a images out of sync if you know why this happened or how to fix it tell me.

dont know if this works on PC, but on Mac using Safari:

on the Youtube page, hit command+option+A, this opens the activity monitor, find the file that says ’‘videoplayback”, will also be the biggest file and double click it and it should start to download.

when finished add a ’.flv’ so it is now ‘videoplayback.flv’ and you should be able to watch it just fine with VLC or other play that supports .flv files.
