If your offline in xbox live, and you play modern warfare 2 online, does your gametag shows up in the Welcome to Modern Warfare 2?

Well you can still play and people you are playing with can see that you are online. Are you talking about when you aren’t playing a match the area that shows your friends that are playing the game scrolling by along with their stats?
