How long does gmail keep attachments for?

I still have schoolwork from ‘05 on my gmail account.

I’m with @Sarcasm. I also have attachments from February 2005, and I don’t think Gmail was widely available to the public that much earlier than that. I remember I had to get an invitation to create my account. Ah, the good old days.

I think it stays forever. I have papers I emailed to myself in college (graduated in ‘05) still there.

2 years? But I still have attachments from Christmas 2005… I thought they lasted forever.
